You need to learn how to take calculated risks in life. When an opportunity presents itself that has any degree of risk attached to it you need to ask yourself, "What's the best thing that can happen if I do this?" and then you need to ask, "What's the worst thing that can happen?" Weigh these thoughts carefully and thoroughly. If you answer honestly and can live with the worst, then the risk is probably worth taking. Most decisions in life can be changed. You can enter into a relationship and later decide that it is not a good place for you and leave it. You can quit school and then change your mind and go back later. It may not be easy - but you can do it. You can start down a specific career path and decide that it isn't what you want to do and change direction. There are only two things that you can NEVER change, and you must be very mindful of this: Having a child and a criminal record. Know this and be cautious, both are forever.
